Welcome to TriumphBees.com, home of Triumph Apiaries in Billerica, Massachusetts.  We are a small apiary with the goal of providing locally raised nucleus colonies and queens for the greater New England area.

The 2011 season is coming to a close, and what a year it was.  The spring and early summer honey flows were fantastic and allowed us to significantly increase our colony count and provided enough honey to share with friends, family, and to take care of the landowners where many of our hives are placed.  In late summer we were awarded transitional status as the first Certified Naturally Grown apiary in Massachusetts (www.naturallygrown.org).  The rains of late summer and early fall let all our increase colonies build up to strong hives that have plenty of stores to enter winter and come out next spring ready to go.

The work really begins now as we start building new boxes, covers, and bottom boards, as well as putting foundation in to new frames, and getting the outyards ready for spring.  We've acquired two new yards for bees which will be used primarily as breeding and mating yards while we continue to grow our colony count.  New queens will be arriving from Strachan Apiaries in May and we will evaluate their performance for inclusion in our breeding program.  We hope to have a limited number of northern bred queens available in July of 2012.

Our Suggested Web Sites for Beeks are a great resource for new and experienced Beekeepers alike and our links pages will continue to expand as time permits.  Videos are planned and a section devoted to our favorite suppliers for woodenware, tools, and assorted beekeeping needs.
